How to Use Pets + Home for Natural Flea & Tick PREVENTION:
We recommend testing any new product for your pets in a small area an hour before a full application to ensure there are no sensitivities to the aroma or product. Never soak your dog or cat in product.
If you are not currently dealing with a flea or tick problem, we recommend applying Pets + Home every 2 to 3 days for flea & tick prevention. Keep a bottle on hand for times when your dog will be in an environment that might have fleas or ticks that might try to hitch a ride.
Generally, we recommend applying Pets + Home every 2 to 3 days for pest prevention, or as needed to kill and repel fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes in your local area. The pest pressure is different by geography, so you might find you use it more or less frequently. It's safe for everyday use. Pets + Home will not only create a protective barrier to repel pests, but it kills fleas & ticks by contact – adults, larvae, and eggs. It's the fastest way to knock them out before it becomes a problem. Killing the bug lifecycle prevents a pest infestation on your pet and in your home.
Think of Pets + Home like insect repellent for people. It does not enter the bloodstream like chemical pesticides do, but creates a protective barrier around your pet when applied. If you know you're going to be spending time outdoors among mosquitoes, you would apply bug spray, and the same goes for your dog when you know she'll be exposed.

Flea & Tick Treatment Vs. Prevention
First, are you seeing fleas now?
If you are seeing fleas, to knock the flea population out complete, you need to treat your pets and indoor & outdoor environment, then switch to prevention to keep fleas & ticks away for good.
Seeing fleas or ticks on your dog or cat is a sign there are fleas in the pet's environment – your home, yard, or anywhere they live and play – and you need a comprehensive treatment to knock them out. As your pet moves around your home and leaps onto furniture, she's dropping flea eggs around your home. If you are treating for fleas, you must treat your environment to get total control.

5% of the fleas in your environment are adults (these are the fleas you see) and 95% are in other lifecycle stages (these are the fleas you can't see). Just treating your pet will not solve the source of your flea problem!
If you aren't seeing fleas now, you are doing PREVENTION.
Prevention is key to staying naturally flea-free! Keeping the environment where your dog lives free of fleas will keep them off your dog.
If you are treating an active flea or tick problem, we do not recommend just purchasing one product to treat your dog. A flea on your dog is a sign of fleas in your home and/or outdoor environment. To fully eradicate the problem, you need to treat the source of the problem – not a symptom of it.
First TREAT your environment and pet, then switch to just prevention! You'll enjoy being flea & tick free all season.
